Sabrina L. Brown Named Assistant Dean for Graduate Enrollment Management

Sabrina L. Brown, Ed.D., has been appointed assistant dean for graduate enrollment management. She began her role April 16, 2026.

Brown most recently served as director of graduate recruitment, where she led a University‑wide reset of graduate enrollment strategy. Her leadership strengthened the graduate enrollment pipeline and introduced insight-driven recruitment and yield strategies that streamlined application processes, improved enrollment yield and aligned program‑level recruitment with institutional priorities.

“Sabrina Brown brings a strategic and innovative approach to graduate enrollment management at a pivotal moment in UNC Charlotte’s continued growth as an R1 research institution,” emphasized Bill Tolone, associate provost and dean of the Graduate School. “At the center of her work is a deep commitment to graduate students and the pathways that connect them to Charlotte, ensuring that enrollment processes advance access, strengthen the student experience and deliver meaningful institutional impact.”

In her new role, Brown will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for graduate recruitment, admissions, marketing and enrollment planning across the University’s 150+ graduate programs. Brown will lead the development and execution of enrollment strategies aligned with Charlotte’s priorities as an R1 research institution, partnering with academic and administrative units to strengthen the pipeline, improve the student experience and support continued growth and impact.

With more than 17 years of experience in higher education, Brown is a recognized leader in graduate enrollment management, known for advancing student pathways, driving enrollment outcomes and building scalable, data‑informed strategies. This work integrates market insight, predictive analytics and strong campus partnerships to support program growth and institutional goals. Prior to joining Charlotte, Brown served as executive director of graduate enrollment at Queens University and previously supported graduate programs within the Belk College of Business.

Brown contributes to the field nationally through board leadership and research engagement with organizations including NAGAP, SEAGAP and AACRAO and was recognized in 2025 as the NAGAP Future Leader for contributions to graduate enrollment management.

A proud Charlotte alumna, Brown holds a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Tennessee State University, a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University, a Master of Education in counselor education, student affairs from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UNC Charlotte.
