Giving

Thank you

We believe that the most effective graduate training for the future will prepare students to collaborate across disciplines, adapt quickly to changing conditions, work well in teams, communicate effectively, and work successfully with others. Our actions are firmly grounded in the belief that graduate education forms the backbone of American competitiveness and innovation.

Outstanding graduate students are the key to the success of any research university. They are necessary to attract top faculty, which drives our research and scholarship forward. A renowned university may be known for the quality of its undergraduate experience or its exceptional professional programs. However, its reputation as an outstanding research university largely depends on its emphasis on linking research and education through graduate studies, including its ability to recruit, mentor, support, retain and ultimately graduate exceptional graduate students. This university is committed to the social, intellectual and economic development of the Charlotte region, the state of North Carolina, and the nation.

Thank you for considering a gift to support graduate education and research at UNC Charlotte. As North Carolina’s urban research university, graduate education is fundamental to our mission.

Please take a moment to consider how you may effectively assist UNC Charlotte’s Graduate School in educating and training graduate students whose work in laboratories, private industries and national universities contributes to America’s global leadership. Today’s graduate student becomes tomorrow’s highly trained, skilled leader or employee in the knowledge-based economy. Private donations are vital to support needed fellowships, research activities, professional development and educational opportunities for all graduate students across the UNC Charlotte campus.

Exponential support from our donors

Niner Nation Gives is the University’s annual 49 hours of giving. Thanks to the generous support of our graduate community, the Graduate School raised impactful funds to support the CThomas L. Reynolds Center for Graduate Life and Learning and the Claudia M. Reynolds Graduate Fellowship. During the campaign, Reynolds challenged graduate students with a generous contribution to make a donation during the campaign.

Dr. William F. Kennedy, a former professor in the Belk College of Business, recently was honored with the dedication of Cato 248 in the Graduate School as the William F. Kennedy Conference Room. Kennedy established an $18,000 graduate fellowship that provides full tuition support, fees, and health insurance for UNC Charlotte students.
