Byron White will become UNC Charlotte's Associate Provost for Urban Research and Community Engagement beginning August 1, 2020. He will lead the Office of Urban Research and Community Engagement, formerly called Metropolitan Studies.
White joins the University from Cincinnati-based StrivePartnership, a group of leaders from the education, business, philanthropic, nonprofit, civic and grassroots communities in Cincinnati dedicated to improving educational opportunity.
