A central feature of graduate study is the production of or participation in research and scholarly inquiry. To help foster a culture of research integrity, the Graduate School offers programming and guidelines on positive authorship practices, healthy mentor/mentee relationships, and training in the area of responsible conduct of research. For more details on each area, please see the tabs in the sidebar.
When research misconduct is suspected, students or faculty should consult with the Research Integrity Officer (RIO), Dr. Angelica Martins. Dr. Martins can be reached via phone at 704-687-1876.
Funding agencies have ever changing requirements for training. In response to NSF and NIH requirements, Charlotte has developed the RECR plan, a comprehensive document that satisfies the NSF and NIH criteria.
