I'm delighted to serve as the Director of Graduate Recruitment at UNC Charlotte, bringing over 15 years of rich experience in higher education to the role. My educational journey started right here at UNC Charlotte, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English. From there, I ventured to Clemson University to pursue a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education: Student Affairs. Seeking to broaden my horizons, I attained an MBA from Tennessee Technological University and I'm currently obtaining a doctoral degree in Education Leadership at Tennessee State University.
At the heart of my professional ethos lies a fervent belief in the life-changing potential of education. I'm deeply passionate about forging connections between students and their dreams, while advocating for inclusivity and equitable access to educational opportunities. These passions extend beyond my work hours, as I actively contribute to organizations such as the National Association for Graduate Enrollment Management and its Southeastern Chapter. Additionally, I proudly serve as the board secretary for the Youth Development Initiative, Inc., a role that aligns closely with my commitment to empowering young minds.
When I'm not immersed in the world of academia, you'll likely find me soaking up quality time with my loved ones including my cat, Riley. I have a zest for adventure, whether it's exploring new corners of the globe, immersing myself in the energy of live concerts and shows, or simply embracing the joy of trying new things.
