The Graduate Writing Retreat provides a multi-day opportunity for graduate students, faculty and staff, and members of the community to make progress on a large writing project. The writing retreat offers a quiet space to work, structured writing time, and writing-related resources, support, and accountability- because all participants are actively engaged in their writing! The retreat also serves to decrease the sense of isolation that many feel during the writing process.
PLUS our friends at Atkins Library will be offering short presentations both days:
  • 10/10: Copyright: Value Your Rights (+ Q&A) - 12:30pm
  • 10/11: Publishing Your Work (+ Q&A)- 12:30pm
  • Zoom office hours for copyright and publishing questions from 2:30 to 3:30pm on Tuesday, October 11.

Thanks to Kate Dickson, Copyright & Licensing Librarian, Savannah Lake, Digital Scholarship Librarian, and Jeff McAdams, Engineering & Open Education Librarian for organizing these workshops!

Lunch, snacks, and coffee will be provided! Enjoy flexible seating, natural lighting, ample outlets, and access to University computers.
The retreat requires a $25 nonrefundable fee to (partially) cover the cost of food and supplies. Please make your payment through our handy payment portal.
