Take Time to Listen - How to Improve Your Listening Skills

April 5, 2023 - 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Zoom

If there is one communication skill you should aim to master, then listening is it.  Forbes magazine states, “In today's high-tech, high-speed, high-stress world, communication is more important than ever, yet we seem to devote less and less time to really listening to one another.  Genuine listening has become a rare gift—the gift of time.  It helps build relationships, solve problems, ensure understanding, resolve conflicts, and improve accuracy.”

Given all the listening that we do, you would think we’d be good at it!  In fact, most of us are not, and research suggests that we only remember between 25-50% of what we hear, as described by Edgar Dale’s Cone of Experience.  Listening is one of the most important skills you can have.  How well you listen has a major impact on your job effectiveness and on the quality of your relationships with other people.

Join us for this workshop to learn more about listening – the key to all effective communication.
