Agus Sudjianto, a highly accomplished risk management and quantitative methods expert with extensive experience in the financial services industry, is becoming an Executive in Residence for the School of Data Science. He will also be co-teaching a class on MLM with Professor Robert Fox this fall at SDS. Agus recently retired as Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Model Risk at Wells Fargo, where he served for over 11 years. At Wells Fargo, Agus was instrumental in developing and governing risk models across various risk disciplines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and chairing the Model Governance Committee.
Before Wells Fargo, Agus held significant positions at Lloyds Banking Group as Director of Analytics and Modeling, where he led the development and oversight of risk models across the entire group. He also served as an Executive and Head of Quantitative Risk at Bank of America, where he managed quantitative risk groups and developed advanced quantitative frameworks and methodologies.
Agus’s career began at Ford Motor Company, where he held several managerial roles in product development, computer-aided engineering, and quality improvement. He holds advanced degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Wayne State University, including a PhD in Engineering and a Master’s in System Design & Management.
