Dr. Goodliffe began her career as a scientist, earning her B.S. in biology at Carnegie Mellon University, Ph.D. in genetics and molecular biology at Johns Hopkins University, and joining UNC Charlotte as Assistant Professor of Biology. After successfully funding her research laboratory and graduating five M.S. and Ph.D students from her program, Dr. Goodliffe earned an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, and joined the Graduate School as an administrator. Her team manages tuition and stipend funding for more than 1,500 students, and shepherds more than 3,500 graduate assistantship contracts from entry to payroll. Dr. Goodliffe also teaches GRAD 6340/8340: Data Analysis and Visualization, a graduate course that covers advanced Excel and Tableau for data analysis, hypothesis testing and creation of data stories and dashboards.
